National Sex Offender Registries
Sex Offender Registries
While all states maintain registered sex offender databases on the web, we recommend the unified registry maintained by the US Department of Justice. Access to these databases is free. 4nannies.com offers the National Sex Offender Registry search, for a fee, as part of it’s nanny background checking services. 4nannies.com utilizes the trained researchers from NannyBackgroundCheck.com, a respected national pre-employment sceening firm, to source nanny background checks.
Canada
Update: Mon, 05 Jul 2004 18:02:08 KITCHENER, ONT. – An Ontario provincial court judge has found the law governing the province’s sex offender registry is too broad and therefore unconstitutional.
As of November 2009 4nannies.com has not located a publically accessible online registry for any Canadian province. The Sex Offender Database maintained by the RCMP is accessible only by accredited law enforcement agencies.
